OOTD: Layered Pleated Chiffon Dress
I got the dress two years ago for a mere dollar. But unpacking it home, I thought it looks too festive for everyday wear. The tiered style and the ruffled hem seemed like a holiday tree haha. So I just pushed it back on my closet.
I only remember having the dress while packing for a staycation in Armani Hotel. Still I was not sure how to pull it off. But thank you to my lookbook.nu, it gave a whole new confidence to go out of my comfort zone and try as many different style as possible. I am learning how to accessorize, how to dress down, and how to prettify otherwise a dull outfit.
The block red orange color really stands out so no this isn’t something I will wear to a gathering. Instead, I don it for breakfast meetings, for a lazy stroll with my man, and even to water theme park. Because wearing shorts to a waterpark is too predictable, hun.
See what I mean? Glam up your water park trips with shift and cutout dresses. Of course you always wear a skater skirt if you prefer on top of your bathing suit.
Pleated dress is a classic fashion piece. If you wish to nail a deal on breakfast or lunch meeting, you can’t go wrong with it. It exudes maturity in your fashion sense. And it makes you look like you can work vintage pieces and modern look. Here, I merely added a statement necklace and my backpack purse for some English breakfast by the marina.
You never know what you have until you spring clean your sofa. Utterly happy to be reunited with a treasure piece!
