And they are all free of charge!
1. Swim, snorkel or just frolick at Palace Beach in Al Sufouh. We found about this open beach late last year and it has magnificent views of the Burj Al Arab and New Dubai. In fact this is where we spent New Years Eve and watched fireworks of Atlantis The Palm, Burj Al Arab, and Burj Khalifa. Hours before that, we saw the Royal Yacht docked. Drive further Madinat Jumeirah and pass by two-three gated private area (probably some palace) and take right just after the bus stop. Unlike in the open beach beside Jumeirah Beach Resort, you don;t have to fight your slot for parking. Families camp here, children fly kites, it’s glorious.
2. The Farm in Al Barari. What’s not to love? It’s a haven in the middle of the city. Greenery all around, romantic wicker chairs, swing chairs, and the most comfortable bean bags while you wait for your organic food or gluten-free diet to be served.
3. Water parks! Okay so this are not exactly free but if you check in with Atlantis The Palm or any Jumeirah hotel. you get free and unlimited access to world-class aqua parks such as Wild Wadi and Aquaventure.
How about you? Any favorite place to pass the summertime?
