The feast of St. Valentine falls on a Thursday, the start of weekend here in the Gulf. As you reckon, it is massively commercialized. Some all inclusive celebration for the day costs 100,000 AED including a helicopter ride.
But for the family, it is going to be simple heart-themed Friday brunch. On Thursday night however, I am planning a candle lit dinner at home. You can’t help but join the bandwagon with every aisle in the hypermarket is decorated with hearts. Little C will be tired from school so he’ll doze off early leaving us some couple of hours of adult time.
Nothing special, just a good bottle of chilled wine (I’ll see if I can get champagne puhleesee), a romantic dessert, and a wrapped present for my man. The background music, I will let Hubby take care of that since he is the one more musically inclined. I cannot carry a tune to save my life. However if he is too tired to strum his epiphone dot studio, I come prepared with my Valentine’s Day playlist.
Check this out, and do let me know what songs you would love me to include. Thank you very much in advance.
Note 1: I chose those videos with lyrics for the sake of other people also trying to complete their love month playlist.
Note 2: The playlist (surprise, surprise!) leans on country music – because I am trying to meet Hubby’s preference. My friend Gary asked how can two people live together with such opposite taste in music hahaha. We compromise and that is love.
