Postcard From The Pentagon

Utterly awesome!!

We received a postcard from the coolest place in the United States – The Pentagon. It is a beautiful aerial view of the US Department of Defense. Hubby and some of his friends from the construction industry were busy discussing equipment leasing when I interrupted them to show this:

They too got really excited and tried to recall all the spy movies they watched featuring the Pentagon. The symbol of US Military is located in Arlington County, Virginia. It is designed by the American architect George Bergstrom, and built by Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, general contractor John McShain, the building was dedicated on January 15, 1943, after ground was broken for construction on September 11, 1941.

The Pentagon is the world’s largest office building by floor area. It has five sides, five floors above ground, two basement levels, and five ring corridors per floor. Approximately 23,000 military and civilian employees and about 3,000 non-defense support personnel work in the Pentagon.

Oh the joys of postcard trade! Drop me a line if you wish to swap with me. Thank you so much LH, for this treasure!
