In celebration of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, five of the nine Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages in Europe – Bicester Village near London, La Vallée Village near Paris, Maasmechelen Village near Brussels, Ingolstadt Village near Munich, and Wertheim Village near Frankfurt – will offer a series of special events and services for guests visiting from the Middle East.
The Middle East is a key target market for Chic Outlet Shopping®, who have a long-standing partnership – now in its third year – with Etihad Guest, have also recently announced partnerships with leading tour operators Dnata and Emirates Hoildays enabling all agents to book Shopping Express® and Shopping Packages for the Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages as part of their offer to Europe.
From 28 July to 7 September, selected travel partners and hotels will provide guests to Bicester Village with an exclusive VIP Invitation, which entitles them to access to The Chic Lounge – a luxurious, drop-inspace open for light refreshments from 12–9 pm each day, to enjoy complimentary Hands-free Shopping, and receive a VIP Card for a further 10% saving in participating boutiques. Additionally, every Thursday from 31 July to 2 October, there will be a special Shopping Express® service for guests visiting from the Middle East, leaving central London at 2.30 pm and returning from Bicester Village at 8.30 pm. From 1 to 31 August, La Vallée Village will offer a ‘Luxury Discovery Trail’ through the Village, on which guests can discover more about heritage of iconic luxury brands. Points of interest on the trail will be marked on a special map available in Arabic from the Welcome Center in the Village. On presentation of a VIP Invitation, distributed through selected travel partners and hotels, Middle Eastern guests can also access the VIP Lounge each day for light refreshments and special trunk shows. A digital city guide – available in Arabic on LaValleeVillage.com – will highlight the chicest places to visit in the city, for the perfect Parisian experience. During the period, the Village will be open for late night shopping from 10 am until 8.30 pm each evening.
Maasmechelen Village will offer further reductions during the month of July, while guests can also enjoy the ‘Surrealism Magritte’ exhibition – a celebration of the art of René Magritte – open from 6 May until late June.
Ingolstadt Village and Wertheim Village will offer guests free travel on the Shopping Express® from Frankfurt to Wertheim Village and from Munich to Ingolstadt Village – bookable through WertheimVillage.com and IngolstadtVillage.com – and complimentary VIP Cards for further savings of 10% in particiapting boutiques.
To complement their position as leading shopping tourism destinations for Middle Eastern guests, Ingolstadt Village and Wertheim Village will exhibit at the Arabian Travel Market event at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 5 to 8 May. The event will be an opportunity for attendees and travel partners to meet the new Tourism Director for Value Retail Management Germany GmbH, Kirsten Boos. Prior to joining Value Retail, Boos worked as Marketing Director for the Accor Hospitality Hotel Group, where she was responsible for the marketing of first class and premium hotels in Munich. Chic Outlet Shopping® will also be attending the Dnata Fair on Friday 9 May, where they will be meeting Dnata staff first hand to present the unique proposition the Collection of Villages offers Middle Eastern guests.
