The Studded Bag

Handbags are not my thing. I would rather buy something than can cover my body. But blogging entails a lot of snapshots when you are out and about. Hence I got myself a satchel last summer just enough to accommodate my DSLR. After putting up with four international flights and holidays, its giving up on me. That means I need to do the dreaded bag shopping again.

Hubby has suggested one brand but I find it ridiculously pricey so I kept  putting it off. Consequently, I had to rely on my iPhone to take photos. Then last month, Hubby got me a brand new Nikon 3200. There’s no way I am leaving it at home so I trawled the net for bag inspiration.

I fell in love with the grainy Rocco leather bag by Alexander Wang. Of course, because it is luxe, it has an eye-watering price. I kept an eye on high street if they are coming with a version.

Guess what, I got one with an attitude. It is roomy, sporting a grainy leather and finished off with gold studs. I personally think studs are for biker babes and girls who enjoy attending Metallica concert. But the H&M black and gold studded bag oozes sophistication I don’t think carrying it would make you look like a rock n’ roll reject.

The best thing about it? It comes on sale at $27.

Studs are a big trend nowadays. If you are unsure how to go about it, start with one accessory. It can be a studded collar of your blouse, or maybe a pair of studded loafers, or a clutch bag. Whichever, keep the rest of your outfit neutral – black or white or beige.

It’s chic and glam – good choice 🙂 I’ve been seeing a lot of studs on shoes as well.

This bag looks good for traveling too. I like it though. and a price like that i would say it’s a best buy. you have such sweet hubby for buying you a good, high end photography device.

The bag looks gorgeous and very appealing at $27. I stopped buying bags since I stopped working to be a stay at home mom two years ago.

Most of the new bags I have were given as gifts from friends. 🙂
