Tuesday Travels: Glastonbury Festival

This is the only reason that will make me want to visit England lol!

I’ve always dreamed of attending a camp rock concert. You know that thing where you pitch your tent in open air, and just listen to live music concert for three to four days. Most of the staff are volunteers so proceeds of the concert go to charities.

The festival is mostly held in June every year. Recently, Cold Play, U2, and Beyonce headlined the act.

The Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts, commonly abbreviated to Glastonbury or even Glasto, is a performing arts festival that takes place near Pilton, Somerset, England, best known for its contemporary music, but also for dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and other arts.

The festival organiser Michael Eavis, a farmer in a Somerset valley stated that he decided to host the first festival in 1970, then called Pilton Festival, after seeing an open air Led Zeppelin concert at the Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music.
