One of the most popular tourist attractions in UAE is its world-class water parks. It’s no surprising given the year round sunshine.
For those planning to come here for summer and even winter holiday, you might want to check these out.
1. Wild Wadi
A personal family favorite because it has more Arabian identity. It has characters aimed to promote the park and perfect for smaller kids. Even on a hot summer, you can still enjoy the lazy river because trees and bushes are provide shade on both sides.
For grown ups and more adventurous ones, must try is their surf board ride.
You can get a day pass or you can check in with any Jumeirah property to get free unlimited access.
It is perhaps the ultimate water park in UAE – massive and geared for the glamorous and adrenalin junkies. The Leap of Faith is a must (oh yes I did that!) so is the shark tank ride. You can get a day pass or check in with Atlantis The Palm for unlimited access — along with The Lost Chamber.
I’ve never been here but some say this was the coolest place some eight years ago. It is situated beside Dubai Creek and judging from afar (okay from Garhoud Bridge, it is worth checking out). This is on our must visit list next month.
4. Dreamland Aqua Park
If you wish to explore other emirates, you still get a chance to visit UAE’s original water park. About an hour and half drive from Dubai, Dreamland is located in Umm Al Quwain. It’s a good value for money especially if you have plenty of kids with you. It is not as big as Wild Wadi or Aquaventure but the tube rides and black hole provide adrenalin rush. The water park is also host to a mini zoo.
5. Iceland Water Park
It is suppose to be the biggest in UAE. But its location, almost two hours drive from Dubai makes it almost not crowded. Most of my friends have visited (and I’m still waiting for my boys’ free schedule) and they say one of the best things there is the sea water coral snorkeling area.
